Give your time. A volunteer can truly impact the life of a child. We have multiple volunteer roles, so there’s a way for everyone to get involved! Our volunteers have truly enjoyed the opportunity to work with the same children year after year. You have the opportunity to see for yourself the positive effects that your time and energy have on our Dreamers!

CURRENT VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

Mentor: Volunteer meets one-on-one with a child, exploring the community and building a relationship with each other. Mentors meet with children for a minimum of 8-10 hours per month (flexible scheduling).

Tutor: Assist Dreamers afterschool with homework and study skills. We are most in need of tutors to meet individually with our Out-of-District Dreamers (see locations below). Hours vary, but typically take place in the afternoon/early evening.

Activity Drivers: Make it possible for Dreamer families without transportation to attend events! Volunteers are contacted on an as-needed basis.

We are also in need of volunteers in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Buckingham, Louisa, Greene, and Orange counties!
