JOB DESCRIPTION

The Youth Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing the support services that “I Have a Dream” provides to its Dreamers and their families including:

• Developing personal relationships with all of the Dreamers and their families to help them manage academic and personal issues or challenges
• Creating and maintaining a program of services and activities aimed at meeting Dreamers’ personal and educational needs, including community service, healthy decision making, family activities, and college/career exploration
• Enlisting, supervising, and supporting volunteers
• Accessing and attracting useful resources of community institutions, the school system, the housing authority, public agencies and local businesses
• Counseling and referring individual Dreamers and their families to appropriate agencies
• Performing home visits, regular and as needed

• Is goal-oriented and operates with a high level of urgency and personal  responsibility for achieving ambitious outcomes; 
• Has strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and implementation skills; 
• Can prioritize effectively and is organized and efficient;
• Has strong communications, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; and 
• Thrives in an achievement-oriented, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment.
